A trial heat, especially in rowing, allowing competitors who have already lost a heat another chance to qualify for the semifinals.
A second chance to race. Life is all of this.
Define it as a sprint or as a test of endurance, this is life and no matter the pace there is no easy course. It comes down to this: reaching inside for the strength to stand up dust off from yet another spill and knowing that there needs to be change…and making it happen.
Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Caron left this world after a long battle with ovarian cancer in late 2006. In the decade I know her and count her as a friend, she continually questions my sanity for not pursuing my love of photography. Much more colorfully and bluntly than this, mind you. Then again, Betsy never did pull punches.
With her loss, there came a renewed determination and rededication to photography not just as passion but as profession. Repechage Photography is born.
Repechage Photography is a photography and fine art digital printing atelier using analog and digital capture to create giclee caliber prints up to 20X30 on fine art papers. I specialize in nature and sports photography and have experience in fashion, portraiture and wedding photography
Yes, analog lives and chrome is still near and dear to me. When I shoot film, I use Fuji films: preferring Velvia 100 for nature and scenic and Provia 100 for portraiture. For digital capture, EOS 1 series professional cameras and Canons ‘L’ series prime and zoom lens are the choices.
All images are edited and printed in a color managed workflow using Adobe Photoshop on an X-rite calibrated monitor. Prints are made using the award winning ColorBurst RIP on 24 and 17 inch Epson printers. ColorBurst produces outstanding neutral tone B&W prints of which several limited editions sold at my first exhibition.
